Early Arrival/Summer Late Stay Housing Information

The Offices of Student Housing are providing the following information to assist you in experiencing a smooth move-out at the end of the summer term. Summer housing move-out is August 10, 2013. You must vacate your room/apartment/townhouse by 10:00 a.m. on the date your Summer Occupancy Agreement ends, unless you have an authorized late stay. If you need to verify your departure date, call the Office of Summer and Conference Housing at 687-4560.

Any person, not authorized to stay late, who does not move out on his/her departure date will be subject to the following actions:
  1. The lock on the entrance door will be changed so you will not have access to your room/apartment.
  2. Personal belongings will be removed and discarded.
  3. Additional charges will be incurred by each individual who fails to vacate his/her room/apartment by the specified date at the rate of $100.00 for each day of continued occupancy and the amount equal to the nightly room rate.
Moving out means the key and Conference Visitor card are returned and all belongings are removed. You may not reenter the apartment/room/townhouse without authorization from the Office of Student Housing.

You may not:
  1. Be a guest of another resident who has a later departure date.
  2. Leave any or all of your belongings with a resident who has a later departure date.
  3. Return early to live with a resident who has late stay/early arrival authorization.
  4. Move belongings in early with a resident who has late stay/early arrival authorization.

The Housing Office will take requests for summer late stay and academic year early arrival beginning 9:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2013 for students who have fall campus housing assignments. Requests can be submitted on line at this site. There will be a $25 per night charge through August 24, 2013.

Deadline for requests is 9:00 am EDT on Monday, July 22, 2013.
