Policies & Regulations

All externally sponsored projects are governed by the sponsor regulations as well as Georgetown University's policies and procedures.  For example, in the case of a private sponsor, i.e, a foundation, the award is simply governed by the foundation's policies and Georgetown policies.  In the case of the federal government, there can be a myriad of regulations.  For example, in the case of the National Science Foundation, its awards can be governed by NSF regulations, FDP regulations, as well as the applicable Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars A-21, A-110 and A-133.

For easy reference, this section has been separated into two components:  1) policies implemented by Georgetown University; and 2) policies implemented by the federal Government sponsor.
