Core Research - Our work is anchored in the development of a unique data capability that results in research products in three areas:
- Area 1: JOBS - Monitoring the supply and demand for educated and skilled labor and linking post secondary curricula with career opportunities
- Area 2: SKILLS - Mapping the detailed specification of 21st Century Occupational Competencies and their ties to education and training frameworks
- Area 3: PEOPLE - Identifying the effect of changing job requirements and skill demand on students current workforce, with a focus on access and success by race and socio-economic status
Real Jobs, Real Skills, Real Time - We plan to analyze a unique data base of current job openings in the United States provided by the 2,800 U.S. Employment Services and the Direct Employers Association to track detailed education and training demand nationally and in state and local areas.
Policy and Practice - We use the information generated from our research and data to inform and educate policymakers and other influencers at the national and state levels. Our belief is that employment and educational and training policy need to be linked.
