When Is a Contract Required?
  Use a Purchase Order:
1. To buy standard off the shelf supplies, equipment, materials
2. To purchase items that do not require on site installation
A contract is required when:
1. A service is required at a University owned or leased facility
2. The service requires performance and payment bonding
