	Policy:The Medical Center coordinates all Hospital and Medical Center construction and is supported by the Division of Facilities with Project Management services for renovation and new construction capital projects. The Medical Center complies with the Division of Facilities Manual for Renovation and New Construction
	Statement The Medical Center has recognized that facility renovation and new construction are essential to meet the changing needs of the Medical Center in fulfilling its mission. In order to plan the Medical Center needs, comply with local building codes and regulations and to reduce risk and liability to the University, all renovation and new construction work is to be directed through the Division of Facilities. All building renovation and new construction work must be executed with a written University contract prior to starting work.
