Delegation of Responsibility

The
Director of Administrative Services and Manager of Purchasing
& Contracts are the authorized procurement officers for
Georgetown University and the Medical Center. These persons,
their expressed designees and authorized exceptions are the
sole agents within Georgetown University that can legally bind
the University to the purchase of goods and services.
With the granting of exceptions, the transfer of responsibility
for adherence to the established policies and procedures passes
to the following department heads: The Director of Contracts,
Division of Facilities, is responsible for the purchase of contracted
construction services for the University and Medical Center.
Facilities Planning is responsible for new and renovation projects.
