The Community Health Informatics Project (CHIP) is
a part of the Introduction to Health Care course for
first-year medical students at Georgetown University
School of Medicine. The project builds skills in public
health, research, writing, and oral communication.
Students choose a county to research, learn about the
county by gathering data online, and create a public
health intervention to improve their county's health.
They report back their findings in an oral presentation.
