The textbook for the course is Paul Samuelson and William Nordhaus,
Macroeconomics,
17th edition (McGraw-Hill, 2001). A few chapters of a book by George J.
Viksnins, Economic Systems in Historical Perspective (Kendall-Hunt,
1997) may be relevant as well.. Each of the two mid-terms will count as
25%, the final exam 40%, and your recitation grade 10%. On the first day,
indicate your top three choices among the recitation sections listed below:
