After completing my biblical training in 1972, I served on the clinical preventive medicine faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin from 1975 to 1988.  During this period I also held the position of Senior Planner in a Health Systems Agency; director of an AHECC (Allied Health Education Coordinating Council); and consulted on wellness and Wellness Spirituality (which I created and developed) in various health care delivery institutions.  These circumstances stimulated an interested in health, sickness, and healing in antiquity.
