Research

Dr. Barth's research focuses on the interactions of science, technology, and international affairs, often with a historical perspective.

He is currently working on four projects:

  • Guest editor (with John Krige) of Osiris Volume 21: Science, Technology and International Affairs: Historical Perspectives [for the Osiris Workshop click here]
  • Book manuscript: Experts in International Affairs: Scientists and the Making of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty
  • Scientists and Engineers as Drivers of Nuclear Proliferation
  • Scientists as Transnational Arms Control Advocates
