meI have been on the faculty of the Philosophy Dept. at Georgetown since Fall, 1989. During that time I have served as Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Philosophy Dept., as well as been associated with the American Studies Program and the Center for German and European Studies.

I have served on the nominating committee of the Eastern Division of the American Philosophical Association and am currently director of the
International Society for Phenomenological Studies.

I have published two books:

Heidegger's "Being and Time:" A Reader's Guide. Continuum Books, 2006.

Heidegger's Temporal Idealism. Cambridge UP, 1999.
