- Defect on the first move
- Moves 2-5: Play Tit-for-Tat
- Moves 6-10: Assess opponent's moves 1-5
- If they were all defections or all cooperations, Defect for moves 6-10
- If there are more defections than cooperations, Defect for moves 6-10
- If there are more cooperations than defections, Cooperate for moves 6-10
- Moves 11-15: Assess moves 1-10 and follow strategy as above:
- If all ten moves are the same, defect moves 11-15
- If defections predominate, Defect for moves 6-10
- If cooperations predominate or equal defections, Cooperate for moves 6-10
- Moves 16-20: Assess moves 5-15 and follow strategy as above. However,
- if there are as many defections as cooperations, assess opponent's move
4 and copy it for moves 16-20.
- if the last 10 moves are all cooperations, examine moves 1-5.
If they are all cooperations, defect 16-20, otherwise cooperate moves
16-20
- Every 5 moves: Assess the last 10 moves and follow strategy as above.
However,
- if there are as many defections as cooperations, assess opponent's move
eleventh's previous move and copy it for the next 5 moves.
- if the last 10 moves are all cooperations, if moves 1-5 were also
all cooperations defect 5 moves , otherwise cooperate 5 moves
