Georgetown Recycles coordinates the recycling activities in all academic, administrative and residence areas on campus and in all University owned off-campus housing and offices. Recycling of office paper, newspaper, glass, plastic and aluminum beverage cans is mandated by the District of Columbia.

Georgetown University encourages the proper disposal or recycling of all corrugated cardboard boxes, household hazardous waste, rechargeable batteries, toner cartridges, computers and other electronics.
